I love evening hunts this time of year. Last year I'd take a quick shower at work, get to the woods an hour or so before sundown. I arrowed 3 does & a buck & still got home in time to keep the wife happy. But new job keeps me working till sundown now.

my bow- only spot is close enough to home I could be there in time and set up in my brushed-in ground hunting evening spot and just sit in my lawn chair and wait. But anywhere else I'd have to drive an hour just to get there.

I'm glad to see all these responses and know that I'm not the only one who does this. My spot is about 12 minutes from my house (driving time) and it takes me about three minutes to walk in to my stand. I usually get about an hour on stand. Most of the deer I get at this place are killed w/in 15-30 minutes before dark.
