I was honestly just trying to relax in the woods today, didn't give two rats' behinds if i got anything. I fawn-in-trouble bleated after an hour of birds chirping, and two seconds later this big (it was this big i swear!) doe came from beside me. I was questioning shooting it as i was only about 150 yards from the road, but later realized a tree would have eventually caught the bullet. She was maybe 8 yards away, at most. I steady the peep sight right above the shoulder and then... RUFFBARKARFFUFFHOWL. She ran. In her direction were some folks running dogs so I didn't shoot. Then I gave every rats' behind haha

First you said the bullet would have caught the tree, then you said you steadied the peep sight.

My M1 Garand has a peep sight.
