Well I was hoping for a bigger deer for more meat to end the season but after a shot near the property line a group of does ran through the field I was hunting. I noticed the one bringing up the rear had it's front right leg hanging on by a thread so I put her down. At least it gives me a little more meat for the freezer. It doesn't bother me the hunter made a bad shot, I've done it, it's that he didn't even attempt to track her. The one pic is the other hunter's shot.

Great kill.

Honestly, she prob would have lived, but lots of misery waiting for that leg to rot off. I bet the other hunter is the most appreciative of anyone.

You did the right thing, like any conscientious Hunter would have. She probably would have survived but it would be miserable. While on that subject earlier this week I saw a three-legged Doe that I had never seen . She seemed to be doing fine hopping on three legs. Right front leg missing from the brisket down. Incredible how tough they are.
