Hiwassee quota hunt

I was drawn for a quota hunt on Hiwassee refuge for September 24-25. I've never stepped foot out there. Do you need a boat to hunt it or can you park and walk in? How's the hunting there?

You can hunt without a boat. However, a boat will give you lots of access that others wouldn't have. I have hunted it a few times over the years and have always seen deer. I have also seen some very nice bucks from the river while fishing. Good luck, let me know if you need anything.

I got the Oct 21-23 muzzleloader hunt and I've never hunted it either, so I'm in the sMe position you are brother.
