We haven't had a freeze here in South MS since mid Feb, which is very unusual...
I went ahead and gambled and started putting plants late Feb through mid March, and they're so far ahead of past years, it's unreal.
I've got head-high tomatoe plants, absolutely loaded with baseball sized fruit. I should be picking fresh tomatoes by mid May
Also got 2 varieties of corn, green beans, broccoli, squash, zucchini, purple hull peas, watermelon.
tomatoes include early girl, better boy, cherokee purple, and lemon boy.
My 3 y/o little girl is in the pic, and it only shows about 1/2 of the total garden. Now if we could just get a little more rain- I've had to run sprinklers 3 times so far this spring to keep it watered.
