Not sure if the gauge at Obion is operating correctly or not. The freeze messed it up for a while.

If its accurate, its going to be an interesting last week of season with lots of ducks in the area and water absolutely everywhere.

It's incorrect. must be froze. The up river one is working right.

Just spoke with our USACE inhouse office gauge technician. He said likely frozen or drift impacting gauging/reading. I gently encouraged him to take a closer look and maybe get a technician on site in next day or two, if warranted. He has a list of priorities, so not sure where this falls in his stack. Thanks again for the feedback.

"We have a technician at the Obion gage, current stage is 30.4', so the gage was incorrect and reading about 6 feet higher than it should have. Tech is headed to Mckenzie next."

I'm glad I seen this about the gauge being screwed up. I looked earlier today and I believe it was over 35 when I checked I didn't think it had rained THAT much but lol

I about spit out my coffee when I looked this morning and it said 35.91. Crazy

Talked to the guys in our blind this morning. As of 9:30, they had killed 18 eggs, 16 biscuits, and 1.5 pounds of bacon. 0 ducks.

My buddies hunting in SW TN mentioned wads of ducks flying back north, shooting a bunch of mallards and shooting into some large wads of teal. They thumped them pretty good this morning and ate well around noon. They like to taunt me with pics of the good grub they cook up.

Teal have shown up last 2 days. We were seeing zero until Thursday. Still no shortage of pintails. Mallards are still hit or miss...
