those fajitas look great but for some reason i just cant do it. maybe its the nostalgia or something, i dont know, but ive eaten more disgusting things like squirrel heads(tongue, jawls and brains). but every time i think of eating hearts i just get nautious.

You can fix it the way you want, but to me it's a waste to do anything but pickle it. If a recipe "tastes like steak", then use steak. But only heart can taste like pickled heart.

When I have a jar of pickled heart in the fridge, when I get home from work I grab a fork and eat three or four pieces cold right from the jar. Great appetizer before a beer or a bourbon.

Had my first deer heart a couple days ago when the wifey unit was out shopping (read $$$).

Salt and pepper and then fried it in my carbon steel frying pan with olive oil. About 1 1/2 minutes per side - OH MY GOD!!!! Yea, I'll be doing that again!

I dropped one in the creek on Sunday. Sad panda.....

Dang thing just shot out of my hand. In my defense, it was cold out, and my dexterity was shot.
