Elk Priority Points?

Do unsuccessful elk applications generate priority points? I thought all elk draws were completely random. Is that true?

If elk unsuccessful apps generate points, when did that start?

My understanding is purely random and no point system for TN elk quota hunts.

I've put in several years in a row and looked today, and it shows no points.

No points for elk, strictly random, and if you get drawn, they block you for 10 years from entering again, at least that is what I've heard.

This is true. I Have 8 years left before I can apply again.

i have over 22 preference points in KY and at least 15 in TN. i dont expect to ever draw.
