haven't heard of anybody up there shooting them up yet...
We cut a field of bean hay in TN last week and have a few hundred birds using it, nothing special this year. Last year, we killed almost 400 birds off it the first day we shot it. We're planning on shooting it this year on Labor Day as an afternoon hunt.
I hunted this morning on a friend's field in south MS. Great action, I went through 2 boxes of shells in 1.5 hours, killed 10 birds (which is actually good shooting for me
) Most of the 30 or so folks finished between 10 and a limit. Took my 8 yr old and 5 yr old- they had a blast.
Best part of the hunt is where it's located... it borders the ritziest neighborhood in town, homes up to 1.5 million. It's hilarious because the neighbors call the sherriff's dept each year due to our 6:15 shotgun alarm clock
