Do you paint your gravity feeders?

Making some PVC feeders. Haven't painted them yet, but wanted to get them out tomorrow. Is it necessary to camp paint feeders? or do the deer not care if they're white?

If I paint them. How long do you wait to let the smell go away?

The deer will eat out of it just like it is ,the only reason I paint mine is to hide them a little more from the thieves not the deer .....

Same here. I paint mine either flat black or flat black with blotches of brown and green. They stay where you put them better if other people can't see them.

I wouldn't worry about the smell at all. Might spook them the first time but they will get over it quick. You can wait months and they will still smell.
