in the summer.Anyone do it much?I have bought a 223 savage that Im dying to shoot as soon as the turkey season ends!Anyone got a certain break in procedure they use to season the barrel?
Cut hayfields are my main focus also.Hay not cut yet where I will be hunting!Same as Ruger. I used to a lot and typically did VERY well in the summer, especially around fresh cut hay fields.
Gun on the right 50bmg?Called this one of 2 in this morning on a fresh cut field. I spooked him he came in my blind spot to 40yards stopped him at 200yrds.

The one on left is a bdl 243 it claimed the yote this morning. The other yote lived to see another day but just barely223 is what I shoot also!!

I have a Savage Axis 11 in 223 caliber!!Good coyote guns!I've not shot my Savage 110 .223 very much in a long time. The last few times just a few rounds. It shot great with Sierra 55 gr. Spitzers and Win. 748. My nephew killed a few yotes with it but, I never did.
