Hopefully I'll have time to post a quick update from work tomorrow.

1/2" total rain since Jan 24th

But we're making it happen anyway.

Silver Queen might make after all.

Hope I planted enough. 550' of okra-should be in business by mid-week.

Looks like a chance of rain middle of next week, so I may get winter squash in the ground. Temped to go ahead and plant 3000' of purplehulls in that same field. Haven't gotten the courage too yet since we haven't had a good rain this year. ??????

I run a 4" well pretty much 8 hours/day, sometime more.

The hardest part has been germination. I've learned some hard lessons this year on how big a role moisture plays in germination.

Bugs don't seem to be as bad, and disease/viruses haven't either. I've had a few gardens destroyed by heavy rains in the summer, so I'm not complaining too much.
