New veggie gardener question...
I planted a bunch of seeds one month ago. Everything has started coming up except for the corn. Do they take longer to sprout, or should I replant? Thanks.

No evidence of birds or squirrels or anything. I only had room for 12 plants, so it's easy to oversee. Perhaps I should replant. Thanks.

I planted mine yesterday. The bag says 5-10 days and thats what I experienced last year. I can tell you each plant yeilds one ear. I planted around 100 yesterday I'd guess.

It depends on the soil and the seed. I'm using a old Heirloom variety that tends to yield multiple ears. I live in the city and don't have much space to work with, so productivity is important.

Im sure your right about this on heirlooms,Poser.

Im planting Silver Queen and Peaches and Cream. I got this info from a farmer of 2500 acres in N. IN and thought he was crazy but my second ear on each plant pettered out.

I'd like to know more about these heirlooms. Do you dry the ears to use the seed the next year? How many ears per stalk is the yield?
