It'll be alright. This time of year is when clover takes off, and through oct, if the rain comes.
Couple mornings a week I can take pics of that many deer in my yard. Its nice! Results of no bushhogging except every 2 yrs and stagger it.Dang! What I wouldn't give to have a deer population like that!
Yeah, without an acorn crop, I think my plots might last until mid-November.
Agreed!Lol that's more deer than I see in a hunting season some years
Mine was in real bad shape until July 24. Since then we've gotten 7.86" and thankful for it.It looks grand!! Just wish I had the rain. All our clover has burnt up with just 1.6 inches of rain since end of May.
Plan on doing just that if dont run out of money firstThe best thing you can do for a clover plot is to drill in wheat or cereal rye along with additional clover seed early to mid September and fertilize. Adding the cereal grains will help absorb browse pressure and will shelter the clover thru the winter.
You're in worse shape than we are. We got no rain in June or most of July, but then got 3" right at the end of July. Only 1" so far all of August. It looks grand!! Just wish I had the rain. All our clover has burnt up with just 1.6 inches of rain since end of May.
