Catoosa early muzzy hunt

I went and pulled my treestand today.
The bears hadn't messed with it, thankfully.
I did get a photo of this Catoosa 11 pointer yesterday evening and also a barely legal 8 pointer this morning.

Uh-oh.
I hunted with mine all 3 days in the rain. Them on Sunday, I had to test it out. Used the same primer and powder that I'd loaded the week before.
Boom, no hesitation. That BH209 is awesome.

I used to hunt Catoosa hard from about 93-2003 and had some good spots we would always see deer…especially when the other hunters started heading back to their trucks around mid morning. I haven't stepped foot on there since 2006-2007. My son and I are planning on hunting there the 11-13 for the gun hunt we got drawn for. I'm not going to have much time to scout and the places I used to hunt look to have been logged hard. I guess we'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Yes. That's not all of them, they've killed over 50 bucks in the last 2 days.

Sounds like the bucks are doing a lot of chasing for sure.
