My daughters have both been asking to head out crappie fishing this Spring. I tend to prefer hunting but have a little time before Turkey season. Is there a preferred set up or bait for kids in anyone's experience? I do have access to a boat so either bank or boat fishing is an option. Any suggestions are welcome.

Pretty hard to beat minnows on a #4 or #2 hook under a bobber. I think this is what you're asking?
Yes - # of fish is more important to them. Simple set up is a good thing. Thanks for sharing. Any other suggestions/recommendations?
Minnows is how I go after crappie with my kids. I try to use either a very small or weighted bobber so you can see subtle strikes.
