Believe I need to fish today

I have one spot that I get to fish 1 to 3 times per year.
It is loaded with 1 1/2# bass that the owner wants gone.
It is also loaded with STUD shellcracker and Coppernose Bream.

I just got a feeling today is the day I need to go. I have a standing invitation to go any I want this week.

I was reminded quickly I can't take the heat like I used to.
Wasn't out there but about 2 hours and dang near got too hot.

I was on the water from 0600 until 1300. The most important thing on my boat? A sponge to dip in the water and drench my clothes from head to toe. That helps, especially with a breeze. But as soon as the wind stopped, it was brutal. I hate summer.
