bear hunting ?

hi, we like to try bear hunting again this year last two years didn't see a thing.my question is are their any wma's open on the sept27- oct 24 archery hunt.i see in the hunt guide it is close in north cherokee. i heard about star mountion is it open for that hunt.anyone ever had any luck their.

Starr mountain is part of south cherokee and it's bow hunt runs sept. 20th - 26th. It's a non quota hunt. Dates are different from state season. There are some bears runnin around up their, but you would probably see more over on Benton mountain(chilhowee mount.)
