Anyone hunting this morning? 12-12-22

I decided to go in to work late and hunt a while. Just need some tree time. We'll see what happens

I was but have to take a fellow to the doctor . Started to go for a few hours but though against it cause if I shot one as warm as it is I'd have to deal with it and not enough time for that . Try to go tomorrow. Wind will be good for the place I killed the seven pointer . Believe there's a big boy lurking there .

I'm off this week for the Kentucky late mz. Haven't seen a thing yet this morning. One of those real quiet mornings where nothing is stirring.

Had a buddy come by Saturday and borrow my muzzleloader for the KY hunt.
He is out there this morning but haven't heard from him.

Flood gates just opened even if just for about 30 mins. Had 9 does come out and would be about a 130" 9 pt if he had brows.

I'm hunting Standing Stone this morning. Not much going on here. Got to find a new lease before next year.

I'm hunting public land too today. Slow. Haven't seen anything yet.

Thought I had to work but the schedule said PTO so here I am in the stand. Very quite, only one rifle shot heard earlier, but the sun is peaking out now and then making it very easy to look through the woods, so hoping to see something.

Saw none. But, it was a beautiful morning. Saw a bunch of beaver sign when I climbed down.

It's wide open in my parts finally. Had seen 9 or 10 different bucks when I got down around 8 a.m. for work this morning. Was SICK that I had to get down but I didn't really have a choice.

Out here now. Got here around 215. Very quiet so far

Ended up seeing 18. 9 does followed by a nice buck shortly after. Then 2 lone yearlings and later on another yearling. About 10 had 3 does being chased by 2 bucks. One was a decent 9 I had pics of early Nov but haven't seen since. I got down about 10:45 and now posted up on the ground on top of a big ridge.

Omega that is a very beautiful area you are hunting. I always enjoy hunting power line cuts like that and always have had real good success in doing so. Hope you are able to get a nice Buck !
