I enjoy the heck out of my Viking popup . I love the ability to camp throughout the year . I went last week in a downpour , and kept the bunkends partially open without AC and remained cool and dry .
Don't want to start an argument about tents vs. campers , just wanna know who else enjoys camping in a camper not a tent .

I have a 5th wheel and love camping!! My stepson has a popup and it suits him and his family fine. I feel as long as what you have suits you, I just as happy as you are.

I am about to get me a tent for quick overnight hunting camps. Save time from hauling and set up of the pop-up.

I can setup my popup quicker than many tents I have owned , but it's not 40 years old either. :D
I bought a portable AC unit yesterday and it works fine . Had it setup in the yard , and my wife and I sat out there drank beer and played cards . ............. I just might be a redneck . :)

I love my pop-up. Just wish I could use it more often!

We are lucky to have several nice campgrounds nearby . I think my favorite trips are just the one night get away trips . We get the urge to go camping and just pack up and go .

Sounds like a good time indeed!!

Thats one nice thing about living in the country , camping in our backyard . :)

I have toyed with the idea of getting a popup. But some people have told me that the inside would get wet if it was raining. I never looked into it more after that.

My wife's dad has a hardtop camper, and she wants to get one of those. But I think the popup is still pretty cool, and might be lighter/easier to tow.

I had a Coleman popup for about 12 years. We used it for famiy camping and I also used it during deer season. I now have a 21 foot trailer, but I do miss the popup when towing in heavy traffic.

I've had a Coleman pop up for close to 14 years now and we still love it, keeps us dry and comfortable. It's packed up and ready to head to NC later in July. Will probably use it to hunt Big South Fork this year as well.

Looks a lot like a mastiff...what kind of bulldog is this?

He looks to be too long legged and some other stuff to be an english bulldog. He sure is a handsome dude though.

I'd love to know what he is. I breed Boxers, not me personally,I just oversee their activities..lol.

She is a NKC, CKC ,AKC and NBA registered Olde English Bulldog with a good pedigree . I have the papers proving it . ;) She is also only 5 months old and hasn't filled out yet .

I guess thats what it is...looks kinda lanky for the typical english bulldog. Very pretty dog.

Must be the picture , because she hasn't grown taller since I took that pic. She is filling out and getting that pot belied pig look now . Loves to camp too . :)

I have a 1989 Coleman pop-up and love it. Heat/ac, and the kitchen sink. Been in it a many a rain storms and stayed dry as a bone. Never pay hotel price again, it is our little hotel room on wheels. we use it at least twice a month year round.

I'll take a popup over a tent anyday. Tent was fine when I was poor and young. Now I'm not so young anymore and appreciate certain comforts.

I had a hard time deciding to sale mine or not. But having a popup and a pull behind just didn't make since anymore, since I and my youngest were the only ones using either. so the popup had to go.

I never understood how someone could say they are hard to set up though. 20 minutes and its leveled and set up. They are super easy to tow.

I think come time to pull the 30 footer up to my hunting lease, on that winding, hilly, back road, I will regret selling the popup. I wont miss those drips from the condensation off the canvas on those cold nights...guess I had it a little to toasty inside sometimes...LOL

To me setting up my popup was as quick and easy as setting up my tent. It is all the other crap you have when you have a popup that convalutes everything.

Like what.......I'm seriously considering a pop up.

This is in response to Deer David's question I just do not know how to do the quote thing. With a popup I have more room to carry more stuff, like extra chairs incase someone wants to visit. I have an outdoor carpet I throw down in front of camper so we don't track as much in. I bring my full size coffee maker instead of perculater. Various extension cords and adapters for when we are in a camp ground along with water supply hose, water drain hose with adapters. I have a roll up table we set out. Sometimes we bring a tv along with a satalite. Blankets and pillows where we use to just use sleeping bags. A potty implament where we use to just go in the woods. When we do not have elect. I bring solar panels to keep battery going for days. I have a lot of storage room in my popup so I accumulate stuff that I would not have thought about having while backpacking or simply car camping, I believe it all goes back to more room for more stuff and the more stuff I have the more stuff I use.. My cooking implaments have changed to big two burner stoves from a little pocket rocket. A fire and a sleeping bag and sometimes a tent used to be camping to me. It is kinda funny I have spent months living out of what I could carry on my back now it takes a pickup and a trailer. We love our popup and we will upgrade to a bigger camper someday so we can have even more stuff. If you are doing some research on popups a couple of web sites I may recomend are Pop-up Explorer, and Pop-up Portal, check out the forums, they are a wealth of information about everything popup.

Plus, when u have a popup, all of that gear is contained in your popup, just hook up and go. Otherwise, its all stored in your garage.

That makes wonderful sense...and maybe a selling point for the family.......more storage in the garage.
