This is in response to Deer David's question I just do not know how to do the quote thing. With a popup I have more room to carry more stuff, like extra chairs incase someone wants to visit. I have an outdoor carpet I throw down in front of camper so we don't track as much in. I bring my full size coffee maker instead of perculater. Various extension cords and adapters for when we are in a camp ground along with water supply hose, water drain hose with adapters. I have a roll up table we set out. Sometimes we bring a tv along with a satalite. Blankets and pillows where we use to just use sleeping bags. A potty implament where we use to just go in the woods. When we do not have elect. I bring solar panels to keep battery going for days. I have a lot of storage room in my popup so I accumulate stuff that I would not have thought about having while backpacking or simply car camping, I believe it all goes back to more room for more stuff and the more stuff I have the more stuff I use.. My cooking implaments have changed to big two burner stoves from a little pocket rocket. A fire and a sleeping bag and sometimes a tent used to be camping to me. It is kinda funny I have spent months living out of what I could carry on my back now it takes a pickup and a trailer. We love our popup and we will upgrade to a bigger camper someday so we can have even more stuff. If you are doing some research on popups a couple of web sites I may recomend are Pop-up Explorer, and Pop-up Portal, check out the forums, they are a wealth of information about everything popup.
