All day hunt cut short

I got in the stand this morning planning on sitting all day. Figured deer would start moving ahead of the cold front. At 6:10 this morning, this guy stepped out and the hunt was over. 150 yards. Savage smokeless. 300gr XTP.

How did the XTP do on the deer? Those were designed as pistol bullets. I never had any good results in my muzzleloader with them.

I also use the XTP's in my Savage. Very good expansion and weight retention. Very lethal.
