not enough knock down power in a 243 un less you get ballistic tips then its alright. Ive had a 243 now i got a 270 and i love it. You can reach out farther with a 270 also.

243 no doubt. I have killed mountains of deer with a 243 at ranges from 20 to a lasered 350 none of them have ever gone more that 50 yrds.

I prefer the 243win because I predator and deer hunt. The 243 with a good bullets will kill deer like the hammer of THOR! Just be sure to use a Partition or Barnes bullets, just my opinion. Then go to a 55gr bullet for the yotes.
