We are needing rain something awful here too. And none in sight. One of my small throw and grow plots I just had left over I pit out and is barely coming up. Regardless I'm going to spray and replant after this summer. I grow nursery stock too and starting to make me a little nervous.

I've always heard at least a measurable inch/week is adequate for corn, soybeans, and sorghum which is typically what we rotate. I've never NOT hoped for rain during a growing season unless it was clear we already had more than enough for a successful crop but this summer is a little different. I've got a timber thinning operation underway so am hoping for enough rain for the crops but not too much to get the logging done.

It's mostly high ground so should be ok, but this is the only time I recall hoping for dry(ish) weather.
