2022 shed thread

Found one small dead head on 2/26. Our deer have usually all shed by now and we pull our cameras on this weekend every year. Pulled cameras yesterday and probably 90% are still holding antlers. Never seen them hold them this long, try again next weekend
Same where I've been looking

Checked cams and did some walking today. Found an older matching set within 100' of each other. Stumbled across this dead head in some nasty thick stuff. Had him on camera two years ago in velvet. Some have shed both sides, one buck only had one side on and a couple were still holding both. View attachment 130584

I'm starting to think one of the long term effects of having covid is the inability to find deer antlers. I haven't even found any of last year's and its not from lack of miles on my boots. I hope I get it back before the velvet hunt.

Pulled three camera's today and covered couple miles....small dead head is couple years old....small shed is last year's and is chewed....larger shed is fresh and from a buck we have several pics of...short tines but super mass.

It doesn't take long for great pics to circulate in rural areas. I have heard Ava mentioned frequently in the Ag community up there.
