my son and I both scored this past week! My son has been hunting on his own this season he's 16 years old. Gave him my old stand and he loves being in that stand all by himself. He had a doe come in sat morning and new to wait, a few minutes later he herd his first "buck growl". he said " dad, that was freaky sounding". He shot a nice 7 point with his 243! I went out yesterday after I got home early from work. Just had one of those gut feelings to go to a certain property "wind was wrong, it was 3:30 before I got there to climb that hill. I got settled in and hit my heat bleat, grunted, rattled,grunted and snort wheezed, then just sat back. Maybe 10 minutes later I see horns moving in the thicket. All I could see was his neck and head. we played "pick a boo" for a while. I'd loose him and bleat, he'd show back up. He started to leave so tried to judge where his body was in the buck brush "his neck and head in plain view" shot was off. He ran maybe 10 yards and stopped, so I put one in under his ear! Heart pumping,nice 8, my best this year.I downloaded photo bucket but all we kept getting was "error" I'm not good with computers, I will send pics if anyone will post them. Sorry for my ignorance.
