24lbs, 10in beard, 1in spurs
Roosted him yesterday evening, got in tight on him this morning. He flew down and came right to me, doesn't happen like that often but it sure is nice when it does. He flew down at 6:05 and I shot him at 6:10. Great morning in the timber

Another blessed morning in Gods turkey woods. Only heard a couple of distant gobbles, so far off I could barely tell they were gobblesā¦ so I just picked a pocket of brush to tuck back into and just started doing some blind calling every so oftenā¦ Was dozing off a little just waitingā¦ then all of a sudden one hammers off behind meā¦ I gave him a little encouragement and waitedā¦ shortly I could hear him spitting and drummingā¦ he passed by my right at about 15 yards. Looking for the lady he heard. Had to wait until he walked out past me and gave him some soft calling to keep his attentionā¦ he stopped and went into half struttā¦ then turned to keep looking for herā¦ once I felt he was away far enough to adjust my position for a shot I made it happen.
