NOPE!!!

not a single one...

despite having 7 4.5 y/o's we have on camera or have seen in person, NOT A SINGLE ONE have we killed this year.

Best year ever for age class I've ever had.

I've seen 3 of the shooters while hunting

Another friend has seen 4 of the shooters while hunting.

Another has seen 3 of them... one today... 3 times... a mid 140" 8 ptr that stayed in the brush with a doe. Although he probably should have killed a mature 135" 9 ptr that lollygagged for an hour in front of him making scrapes for over an hour at 90 yards. He was holding out for one of the big ones instead and didn't want to tag out on him.

Craziest year ever.... best hunting/ sightings/ age structure I've ever had... yet all they mature bucks have little angels on their shoulders protecting them.

Had a ton of trailcam pics of this one starting in first of Aug. I killed him Sept 12th. I will try to get the trailcam pics uploaded soon! If you look, you can still see my arrow sticking out of him.

awesome deer huntaholic. you got real lucky on our timing. a week earlier he would have still been in velvet. love the hard red horns
Trailcam pics showed him in velvet 2 days, before I killed him, the day before pics showed him out of velvet. I SO wish I had kept ALL of those pics, but with only a few cards to play with, I had to keep erasing and reusing them. Besides, I never REALLY expected to kill him. Ive still got a few of him but I havent got them uploaded to a host site yet and they are on my wifes computer still.

Wasn't targeting these guys but had pics of them. The first one I shot was standing in front of my cam as I shot him and the 2nd buck i killed I only got 1 pic of him in mid July.

Are you getting that rifle kill one mounted? If so who is doing it? Reason I ask is, I picked up my bobcat from the taxidermist yesterday and saw one identical to that one waiting to be mounted.

Master chief, that's one nice deer. Great thread. All these are super nice deer. congrats to all.

Thanks Tickweed. There's always the possibility I may luck up and kill a deer that is bigger than him, but he will always be my favorite. He turned my obsessed desire to kill a deer into a passion to enjoy the experience as he evaded me despite a lot of work being put into attempting to kill him last year. It kinda showed me that killing him was the least of it
