shot this one Saturday morning. I was carrying the AR in hopes of seeing a pack of coyotes again that I had seen a few weeks back. Wind was blowing about 15, gave up on the stand after an hour or so and went walking. 15 minutes later I spotted 3 does grazing in a low spot out of the wind. Picked out the biggest one and dropped her where she stood at 171 steps. First one with a .223 for me...

just some cheap Monarch ammo...55 gr soft point

it actually performed pretty well...I recovered the bullet, core separated from jacket but nicely mushroomed.

I used my Bushmaster a couple of times this year and had good results with a 70gr TSX. They make great guns for stalking.
