How do you "correctly" fish a jig? And thanks to all the replies!

1/16 oz Roostertail or 1/16 oz silver/gray grub for smaller rivers/creeks/ponds.

I used a roostertail this past weekend for trout fishing; that's what I caught all my fish with. Until I lost it in a tree. :blush:

I fished another river (Red River) in November, and couldn't buy a strike with a roostertail. But I caught quite a few on a silver colored grub with 1/16 oz jighead.

paddle tail minnow jigs (like Sassy Shad) in light green, white, and black colors with a 1/8th oz jig head catch a LOT of fish in the TN river system. That's my primary white bass jig, but it will also catch sauger, crappie, bass, and anything else that eats baitfish.
