Ive been looking at the Tikkas, Sako, and a few other brands. Has any of you fellas owned or shot any of the Weatherby rifles? Ive looked at a few of those also

I have not. I'm a Tikka fan because of the lightweight and tighter groups as others have stated, but I am going to try out a Bergara next go round. I just do not really like their choice of calibers for their budget friendly rifles ($700-1000). Sako are great rifles too but can't justify paying a little more than double of a Tikka for all metal components.

Can't say i have a favorite manufacturar but I do have a favorite gun, an old rem 700 in 6mm that I passed to my oldest. When I find myself hunting without the boys it's usually what I grab. I recently got a tikka t3x lite that has really got potential to get top billing as it's a shooter and very lite. Bergara's are beautiful guns that shoot well I'm sure I'll own another one someday soon. If I were on a tight budget I'd get the ruger predator in 6.5, incredibly accurate good feeling gun that wouldn't bother you to get a lil dirty or scratch while hunting. My youngest boy has claimed mine lol.

I never set out to be such a Remington 700 fan but it seems as if every time I'd want to buy another rifle Remington would come up with an interesting chambering or variation of the 700 and I'd buy it instead. But I also use my CZ carbine in 7.62x39 a lot for deer. Plus the Marlin 336 in 35 Remington that is getting used for all my deer hunting so far this year. Also have the Weatherby Mark V in 460 that gets used now and then for deer when I'm feeling like carrying a 12 lb portable cannon around all day. :)

Almost forgot about my Model 98 Mauser 270 Winchester. There is nothing quite so slick as a will used military Mauser action. It may look like it's been rode hard and put away wet, but it shoots well enough and is my go to rifle for hunting on a rainy day.

I shot and loaded for a 300 Weatherby Mag Mark V. Belonged to a very good friend.

The slickest bolt in this universe.

Best stock design.

Prettiest wood.

Could desex a flea at 200 yards and not require stitches

Pick up a Mark V and you will never yearn for anything else.

A mid 90's 700 classic in 25-06 is my go to. My others are Ruger M77's. A 44 mag and a 6mm Rem.

I'll admit I'm a shotgun snob so rifles are nothing more than a tool to me, but those three have done all I've ever needed

Most days it's this Cooper Western Classic
30/06 with a Swarovski Z6 scope.

Bad weather gets the Model 70
300 WSM.

Other days it's my Winchester Model 71 .348 with my cast bullets.

I ALWAYS have one of my 629's with my cast bullets pointing opposite of my rifle

I suppose my Browning A Bolt II is my favorite rifle, but it's a 270 WIN (I Bought it over 20 years ago) and I've developed an affection for short action calibers, particularly my 260 Remington (Rugger M77 Compact) and 6.5 Creedmoor (Ruger American). Last year these two Rugers were the only rifles I carried in deer season. This past weekend I took my Ruger American 243 to the coyote woods, but I ended up just shooting my black powder revolvers for fun.

If I was forced to sell all my current rifles and replace them with a single all-purpose rifle, it would be a Browning A Bolt or X Bolt in 260 Remington.
