I just sold 2..... an average one for $30, and a piece of junk (bad red belly and rubbed out shoulders) for $5 to a local guy. I have a few at the NAFA auction next month and I will let you know what they average. I also will be sending some up for the May sale...but they are poorer quality with minor rubbing etc

A state auction is not a venue I would sell at. Doesn't surprise me if somebody gets a bad price there. You have to know when to sell and when to pull. The buyers there are just middlemen. The buyers at NAFA are mostly end users. If you send junk to NAFA you won't get much for it. If you send stuff in good shape, the market will set the price and it can be surprising.

I want me a skull from a coyote, and I've always wanted a full mount of one laying down. I don't like yotes when it comes to my other animals I hunt, but I have seen some really pretty ones out there.
