Nice that's a lot of seed money. I get a lot of my tomato seeds thru online seed exchange. Lots of people on the Gardenweb.com forums to exchange with. I didn't even pay for my Sungold F1 tomato seeds I grew this year. Just got to have some varieties of seed to trade, I usually save some of my heirloom seeds but this year I was too lazy so I'll have to use leftover older seeds to trade.
I'd say get a variety of tomatoes, cantaloupe, cucumber, beans, squash, peppers, eggplant is also really good but I didn't have luck with them this year. Too many varieties to list off the top of my head in one post...good luck picking out what to grow.
