I was thrown out of a boat while duck hunting with an Arkansas GW a few years back, no life jacket.
thought I was going to drown, modern day neoprene waders will make your legs float and sorta push you head into the water.
I was in panic mode in less that a minute when then rescued me.
life jacket is a definite must for me and everyone in my boat.

Yeah them redhead neoprene waders I was wearing when we flipped the canoe were very buoyant, I've since switched to breathable ones, much more flexible! The shock of Frigid water, being restricted were life changing. No duck or game is worth a life.
