Walleye on Erie updated

Had a nice weather window so loaded up the boat to fish Lake Erie. Ended up getting our 2 man limit in 4.5 hours. Fish weren't huge today biggest was 6lb but perfect eaters. Gonna hit it again tomorrow.

I'm good with that! Super mild so far this year. Probably means Jan & Feb will be brutal.

Sold my ice fishing gear 5 years before I left Illinois.
Now I'm enjoying year around open water.

great fish. I froze on tims ford the other day at 55 degrees. I can only imagine great lakes cold!

Day 2 was fast & furious had our limit in 3 hours. Caught 3 over 8lbs today. What a great trip.

congrats. thats off shore fishing to the max.

i heard a story on the radio last week about the wind on that lake. in some years it can blow so hard it pushes the entire lake to one side and one side will be 5ft shallower and one end will be 5ft deeper.

I'd much rather eat 18-20"ers. The bigger one tastes rank.
Once brought home filets from four 28" fish from Erie. After eating one filet and it wasn't good, a week later, ate another.. Could only eat about five bites then I quit.
Gave the rest of the filets to my Asian neighbor, maybe he cooked them different.
I just brought home 13 walleyes and two sauger from Watts Bar yesterday. Hope they taste good!!
