McCoy from USC
All about the money now USC Is looking to replace him with the Pittsburgh WR that had 1500 yards last season. they say a NIL deal worth millions is in his future. Texas, UGA, Bama seem to be in on this guy it's probably gonna come down to who writes the biggest checkBru McCoy? Enrolled at USC in 2019, then Texas, then back to USC, then Texas again, then USC now UT?
Carnell Tate and Branden Iniss tweeting each other about the NFL draft, so I'm feeling good and figure Bru just got Carnell's $$$
His a headcase. But a good wr. If he sticks he will be a good additionBru McCoy? Enrolled at USC in 2019, then Texas, then back to USC, then Texas again, then USC now UT?

I agree. I felt the same about the Nolan kid that went to Texas a &m . 4 high schools in 4 years. Got to be a problem. His a headcase. But a good wr. If he sticks he will be a good addition
Yeah multiple players have came out and said give me x amount of money or I'm hitting the portal and going to the highest bid. is what they are looking to stop from what I understand. Pretty much college football free agency or buying other teams players.Sounds like NCAA is looking to try to regulate NIL in some form or fashion.
They need to ASAPSounds like NCAA is looking to try to regulate NIL in some form or fashion.
I believe it's to late they opened a can of worms they won't be able to close back even a little. They need to ASAP

I agree. But something has to give. It's gotten crazy in less than a yearI believe it's to late they opened a can of worms they won't be able to close back even a little.
I don't really see what they could do as long as players can legally make money programs are going to do everything in the book.
If a player comes out and says I'm leaving your program because your not offering a big NIL deal and I will go to a program that will...I think that is a big problem right now.....what do you do?
Make a rule the player can't transfer?
Make a rule the player can't sign a NIL deal with another team?
I just don't see how you fix the major problems
Yeah it has, but they should have known it would be this way when they agreed. It wasn't difficult to see what it would become fast. It's the reason so many fans was against. They seen the writing on the wall before NIL even became a thing. So I don't see why they are acting shocked by some of the things going on. Acting like they are going to come up with some rules to fix things when in reality they are not going to fix a thing.I agree. But something has to give. It's gotten crazy in less than a year
Yep. The scholarship was money the players were getting. I hate the NIL. I'd rather it still be under the table cheating.Yeah it has, but they should have known it would be this way when they agreed. In another year or less that 8million UT gave that 5* QB will be chump change. And evey 5* player will be making millions
They already do. Called cost of attendance, because unlike other students, they aren't allowed to work while in school (and let's face it a lot of these athletes don't come from even middle class homes). Colleges are now giving them $5900 for top grades as a result of the US Supreme Court case the NCAA lost (non-athletes could get those bennies but not athletes). I have no issue with any of that. I have no issue with NIL. This is (still, I guess) a free country and any of us should be allowed to maximize our profit potential, whether we are an 18-22 year old athlete or a 60 year old.I don't have a problem with players making some money. Regardless of what deal they sign in my opinion they should just receive a set amount each month let's say $3,000 and the rest goes into a trust for life after college. It could be a little more or less per month. But if they are a scholarship athlete a lot of their costs are already covered has far has food, room etc. No reason they couldn't live off of $3,000 a month. Plus this will save them on taxes. But I will agree it is getting out of control. I have already stopped watching pro sports and if college just becomes more of the same then it may cause me to lose interest also.
So Tennessee, usc, Texas and other schools are doing this that your prestigious OSU isn't? Oh ok, got it. Don't fool yourself budThey already do. My issue are the pay-to-play inducements being offered to recruits or portal guys by Tennessee, USC, Texas and other schools. Those are blatant violations of NCAA rules but not being enforced because the NCAA has an incompetent prez and they are afraid of being sued. Once the kid enrolls in school, allow them to max out on their NIL, but the pay-to-play has to stop.
It's true. No inducements to players who aren't enrolled. Alabama, Clemson aren't either. You are fooling yourself. So Tennessee, usc, Texas and other schools are doing this that your prestigious OSU isn't? Oh ok, got it. Don't fool yourself bud

So was Juwann JenningsHis a headcase. But a good wr. If he sticks he will be a good addition
And it begins. Boosters (i.e., the "collectives") can't talk with recruits and can't offer them NIL or inducements deals to get them to attend a particular school. That's been a violation for decades, but basically now reiterated as one. And the NCAA is going to start investigating the violations that have occurred. Yes, I guess it all will come to light. Maybe, it's the NCAA (but Emmert is retiring).

Agree. There's parts of this I'm not wild about and parts I don't fully understand but how in the hell did anybody think this was not going to be the outcome? Now a bunch of them are gonna jump up and down and say that's not fair?
I guess I'd be more pissed if we had a 1.5 million dollar deal for a QB to not play a down and go back home to Texas.
Wtf know that may be what happens with Nico, this is the wild west. But do I want my team utilizing the current situation to its potential or running around looking for the assistant principal? I'll take the former.

You might want to read a little closer. A collective is not a booster. It may be funded by boosters, but it isn't what the NCAA is going after. I will be surprised if the collective at TN hasn't crossed all of their Ts and dotted all of their Is for the rules that were in place. And it begins. The schools crying the most about the NIL are the ones that were the most corrupt with the under the table stuff. They don't want to see their advantage going away. It might make those red Chargers a little less valuable in the recruiting process.
