transporting deer

I have a cargo carrier on the back of my SUV that I carry my deer on from the woods to the processer. Do the deer have to be covered with a tarp or can they just be on the carrier.

no law to cover it but i would cover it to keep the road grime off of it.

There is no law to cover it, but it is a good idea for several reasons.
