Like to hear guesses and opinions on what you think this deer weighs in these pics. Also curious to hear age speculations. Pictures taken 11/15/2019 in SW TN river bottom..

I'm no expert, but he's well over 200 would be my guess. That is a big boy. Age 5.5 maybe? That belly is sagging.

I'd say 5.5+, and I'd bet he dresses north of 200lbs.

Big old nice buck right there. Those kind get me excited, no matter the score.

A lot less on Dec. 19
Which is why I am asking, to simply get a consensus or a possible kind of average. I shot deer on 12/15 and was amazed at weight loss from what i felt like he would weigh.. Going to leave up awhile hopefully get a lot more to chime in see what the number kind of averages to.

I'd guess that buck would have to go over 200 lbs. However one thing that's hard to tell when looking at a single deer is the frame size. A buck can be filled out and fat but have a small frame and weigh less than he looks. Even considering that factor, that buck is thick enough that he should have certainly weighed over 200 when that photo was taken.

Easily over 200 n Expect over F D as well.

Never in a million years would i imagine a post asking for opinions on this forum would get 600 views and only 18 posts!!!! LOL .. I'll bump it this morning and post weights this afternoon of what deer weighed when i shot him..

Depending on size of his frame, I would guess 190 - 220 live weight and aged 4.5 - 5.5. Basing it on some that we've weighed out in past few years in same geography.

But if he is "stubby" deer with smaller frame could be a bit less,

Curious how the concenus lined up with actual weight? Don't leave us hangin :D

Deer weighed 180 live weight field dressed 145. I honestly believe he had to have lost between 40 to 50 pounds in the months time of pic to harvest.
