On the big nothing sandwich today turned out to be?

Saw thousands of birds at dark yesterday.
I pulled the trigger twice today and as of 1:00 the pit had killed 5.

Home by 2:00.
I'm over the whole nonsense.

Man that sucks. This kind of feels like the mid term elections a couple years ago. The red wave turned in to a pink trickle. But maybe the next 2 days will bring better results.

We knocked down 4, picked up 4, and the eagles went hungry on our area of the lake today.

On the east side, the wood ducks we had mid-week left.
Actually decoyed two perfectly this morning (the pair actually made a nice half-circle and backpedaled in front of the decoys…I'd never seen anything like it). I shot the hen before she landed; my Dad swatted the drake.
