Newbie to food plots, obviously.

If you want to mix two seeds to be planted in a one acre plot, do you use the standard seeding rate for an acre for each seed, or do you half each one since you are planting two things?

I think that really has to depend on what you're planting...there's a few variables to your question. For example, personally, if I was planting oats with my clover I would plant clover at the recommended rate and I would do about the same/maybe a little less with the oats because the oats will die off with the first frost and hopefully have kept some of the weeds at bay and gave my clover a sporting chance to grow. Of course, a lot of your success with clover in my experience won't be realized until the following year if planted closer to fall. But, that also depends on the type of clover you plant too.

Might be easier to answer if we knew what you were considering planting together.
