Food Plots Inter seeding in corn crop

Wondering if this would work. Im thinking about seeding turnips and a rape/kale mix in between my rows of corn. My crop is still green and hasn't started drying down that much. I was going to wait a few weeks and walk between the rows sowing the above with a hand spreader. Ground is pretty clean from the herbicide and shading. My grandfather always top sowed turnips in his garden. Will get some sun penetration on the ground as the corn dries down.

Complete waste of money, what do y'all think?

Ive done it. If weather cooperates it'll work. I've cut strips in early October and sowed wheat and radishes and they came up.

Timing is everything. As the corn dies it droops and lets the sun hit the ground. That is the when, taking a row out will get the sun in sooner. best if done just ahead of rain
