If you dont mind a 50cal, New Ultra Light Arms offers a 50cal that weighs in at just under 5lbs bare. Ive got one and it shoots amazingly well. They are about $1800 and take a lot of lead time though. Ive shot Parker's 275gr BE upto 2400fps in mine but normally stick to the 2200fps range.

Question, what are the differences between this one and the one in the classified?
Several titanium part, fiber glass stock that bedded, Pacnor barrel, and a lot of machine work to the action.

I live in Cleveland it's a 45 cal and 209 primer. Sorry for the delay I'm off hunting and signal is spotty.

I have one as well. Tack driver with any bullet. 5/8" 6 shot group at 100 is normal if I do my part. Buddy has one as well and just converted it to a 45. Still working up a load but it's looking promising

I wish Melvin would still offer them in 45cal, i would buy another. I know one person that has one in 45cal and he refuses to sell it.

Not saying mines better than yours, but it sounds like a competition in the making. Hope the prize money live up to the talk

I would love to see a ML built on a steel Rem action that weighs in at just under 5lbs. My action weighs 20oz. About the only thing i dont like is the ramrod. Its garbage. Mine is a early one with Ultra Light Arms and Model 20 on the action. One of the first 50 he made. What amazes me is how well the breach plug holds up. Ive got around 1000 shots and its still fine. No bushing or vent liner.

Please start your own thread to pat yourself on the back, this one is already being used. :poke:
