1 pkg rapid-rise yeast
3/4 cup warm water (105-115)
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 to 2 3/4 cups flour (s/r)
2 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs oil
1 egg

Dissolve yeast in water in a bowl.
Add sugar, oil, salt and egg.
Stir to dissolve sugar and salt.
Stir-in 1 cup flour until smooth.
Turn oven on WARM for about a minute.
Cover with cloth & place on rack over bowl of hot water in oven.
Let rise 15 minutes.

Grease square pan 9x9x2 inches.
Stir-down dough and add 1 1/2 cups flour.
Stir until mixed approx 3 minutes.
If sticky, knead-in 1/4 cup flour.
Divide dough into 16 balls & place in pan.
Cover w/cloth & place on rack over bowl of hot water for 25 mins.

Heat oven to 425.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Brush tops with butter and serve warm. :)

I'm gonna have to try these. I really want to make breads, rolls and basically anything with yeast but it's like I'm afraid to and whenever I try, I always fail miserably.

But I'm gonna try these, doggoneit. Thanks for sharing!

Fear not the yeast Green Doe, may the force be with you........LOL.

Yeast is a finicky thing, water to hot.........you kill it. Water to cold............it doesn't work correctly. Also, store it in the refrig. until ready to use. O...........check the date on the package.
