Had 4 dang pullouts last couple days on DP's. All bait gone and no feet inside. All had circles as well, so they didn't do it immediately.

I have only had one pull out withe the dukes, and it had wrapped the chain and cable up in brush.

Agree with TN Song Dog…. Make sure there isn't anything close the can use as leverage. I have not had pullouts. Just chew offs with the Dukes. I'm thinking of painting white next year and attaching a golf ball to help keep birds and squirrels out

And I think some of the pull outs are coyotes finding them and ripping them out of there. We've found several that appeared to be pullouts and found a carcass 5-50 yards away eaten by coyotes
This right here also mice will get i them and trip them to and it not catch . But coyotes and i have video from a trail cam of a bobcat stealing a coon from one also. I will see if I can find it. Once a coyote figures it out you will have trouble with coons coming up missing

We had a "first" in one of our traps the other day. This little rat just had to have the will to die! First time ever seeing this!

Not even greenbrier? We've had to remove a bunch around traps because they will grab it and pull out. Even the roots of the greenbrier. I don't blame them - desperate times call for desperate measures.
I carry a pair of snippers to trim stuff out of way.

I put a small piece of fried chicken bone under the trigger and sprinkle a little canned corn on top…that's it. The paw/leg is way down in there when the trigger is punched.

I've had everything from tweety birds to rats stuck in there dead. That's a tough way to go. I ordered some fish oil from a trapping site. Will try that drizzled on top of trap and about head high on the tree to get the scent further out….will see how it works. Sure stinks!
