I found 1 crawling and 2 attached last week. One tick was attached under my sock. Seems like lone star ticks are attracted to me until mid May.

A warm sunny day in January, they come out.
As the average temperatures get warmer, they're getting more active.
Kinda like snakes, but a much greater general danger than snakes.
