I know nothing about props. But on my tracker I had to go to a 4 blade prop to get it up on plane quicker. After I added the whale tail it now runs perfect
im still needing to add a 4 blade to my pt175. it does fine with me only but add another person and it takes forever to plane with a 60hp.
I'd try the whale tail first unless you know somebody with some different pitch props that they will let you borrow to see if it makes a difference.
Tough to say without knowing rpms at full throttle.
When you are wide open does it sound like the motor is struggling and you are just plowing along or does it sound like it's running wide open but never gets on plane?

I would say it's running wide open but never gets on plane.
Planning on picking one up next week. Well, ordering one anyway, doubt there is one within 50 miles of me.

Generally speaking a lower pitch will plane off quicker and a higher pitch gives you more top end. If you're wanting to plane off quicker the first thing I would do is try a whale tail.

Also tiller steer would be slower to plane than remote steer due to weight distribution.

I had an Express aluminum 18' with a Yamajammer 4 stroke 115hp once upon a time... I found the whale tail to be the ticket for all things wrong with it... it blasted up out of the water and the porpoising problem at speed went away.

They are normally "universal", one may be good for up to 40hp and the other 115hp. You can get ones you drill on or non drill type. If it were me I'd go for the no-drill attachment kind.Are they like universal or do you have to get one specific for your motor?

Been that way since new.
Broke a prop and skeg on the white river bought a new prop just like that one no change
May just not be enough motor
