I would say it's running wide open but never gets on plane.Tough to say without knowing rpms at full throttle.
When you are wide open does it sound like the motor is struggling and you are just plowing along or does it sound like it's running wide open but never gets on plane?
Planning on picking one up next week. Well, ordering one anyway, doubt there is one within 50 miles of me.I'd try the whale tail first unless you know somebody with some different pitch props that they will let you borrow to see if it makes a difference.
Good point. Also tiller steer would be slower to plane than remote steer due to weight distribution.

Are they like universal or do you have to get one specific for your motor?Academy has a few IF there's an Academy out there in the flatland and cow pastures of west Tennessee
They are normally "universal", one may be good for up to 40hp and the other 115hp. You can get ones you drill on or non drill type. If it were me I'd go for the no-drill attachment kind. Are they like universal or do you have to get one specific for your motor?
I put one on for stretch years ago but I have never bought one.
There is an Academy in Paducah.
Need to go up there anyway, I need a couple new / replacement reels.
I bet that racist guy in Union City has one.Planning on picking one up next week. Well, ordering one anyway, doubt there is one within 50 miles of me.![]()
Been that way since new. What JBell said. You need more bite.
Has it been this way since new? And prop was brand new? Any chance you spun\cracked the hub in your prop?
That's probably true but it should eventually get on plane with the right prop…. I'm not familiar with the whale tails mentioned above but some smart dudes recommended them so I'd give that a try as well… I used to call them manatee filleters when I saw them on small boats in FL.May just not be enough motor

Can you describe how the boat runs in a bit more detail? Does the bow raise up as you give it gas or does it plow the whole time? If you've got a buddy sitting further Fwd does it eventually plane off?
I will look I don't rememberHey ruger. Are you a 13spline? I have a few you can play with
