Owl hollow mill and mingo swamp?

Do any of you guys hunt these 2 wmas? Not looking for your spot just wondering about how it is? alot of hunters there? See alot deer or hardly any? Thoughts on each?

That's a good post, I was just sitting here trying to find out about both those places. Never hunted it and was wondering the same thing.

It's hit or miss on the people at both places. The best time to hunt is during the week because there are normally less people but on weekends from what I'v seen it gets hammered. There are deer there but you have to find them.

I'm gonna call the area manager tomorrow and see what info he has on it. The mill is 3k acres and from what I understand they don't allow vehicles of any kind. It's all hoofing it by foot. Could be wrong as I'm new to hunting.

It is you have to walk and you can't use a vehical. There is also bear hollow mtn wma also but you can only use and ATV to retrieve a deer that you have shot and killed you can't just drive it around other than to retrieve the deer.

Mingo gets hammered. You can get away from people on owl hollow and bear hollow during the week.

After this rain, forget Mingo. Bear Hollow is tougher than ever this year because of lack of food for the deer. If you have a boat I would consider Owl Hollow.

Owl hollow was packed on Thanksgiving. Had several weekends with no one in the parking lot during bow season.
