Anyone hunting Old Hickory this year? I have a buddy wanting to hunt a walk in spot his weekend. That would be my first hunt on that body of water.

No Old Hickory intel, but you will need to be on big water or moving water Saturday morning or you will most likely be frozen out. Smaller pockets of protected water will start icing up tonight.
You may already know this but cold weather like this is ideal and it gets pretty crowded during cold snaps. Add the Ice factor and the weekend onto that. unless your going with a card holder i would have a back up plan (boat). A lot of people leave around 10. If your unsuccessful try back after that.

We haven't done squat the last few weeks on unit 2. Not sure about unit 1. Good luck Let is know how it goes
14 degrees but feels like 5 with 12 mph N winds. Sounds like duck hunting weather

Old Hickory was dead this morning. Had a few pair of two or three working before legal shooting times. Never fired a shot. Man it was COLD
