CVA pulled the plug on the MR/LR-X 40s. They are now listed only in a 45cal 1-22 and a 50cal 1-28. New max load data has also been listed and they wont be getting the 2800fps they had originally claimed for the Paramount. From what I can gather, cva is coming out with a few .40 caliber options in their muzzleloader series of rifles. One is an Accura version. The other is a Paramount style version. They also developed a 225 gr, .40 caliber version of the Powerbelt ELR that the rifles can utilize. It'll be interesting to see how they perform with the advertised 1:20 twist rate. It should work well with the 225 gr ELR but I'm curious how it'll handle heavier, longer .40 caliber bullets. Also curious what size charge they used to get that kind of velocity from a non-smokeless.

This is a bit of a change from just a few weeks ago when CVA announced their new Paramount HTR (Hunter), a new .40 cal precision inline muzzleloader built specifically for hunters.
